    The Associate Director of People Development is charged with identifying, developing, implementing, and delivering talent development programs that improve skills, engagement, and retention of talent across CMI Media Group and Compas. This role will oversee and implement a curriculum for CMI Media Group and Compas, as well as the development and implementation of onboarding and leadership programs and initiatives that complement the organizations’ training offerings. As part of the larger People Team, this role will provide cross support as appropriate on HR, Professional Development and Talent projects and activities.

    Talent and Organizational Development

    ·         Work with business partners from all departments, the People Team and Client Services to manage all onboarding programs, meeting staffing and organizational needs

    ·         Conduct individual leadership, career, and talent assessments as appropriate using a variety of tools

    ·         Provide coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs

    ·         Effectively partner with others to implement organizational initiatives such as organization design, large scale change, educational events, employee engagement, team effectiveness, and coaching at individual, team, and organization levels.

    ·         Lead the Mentorship Program

    ·         Identify or develop company-wide or individual learning initiatives that cost-effectively focus employee development on achievement of both business and personal career goals

    ·         Work with Business partners to lead the Internship Program that builds exceptional talent for the organization

    ·         Conduct data analysis resulting from talent processes to further organization understanding and to align initiatives with business objectives and strategies

    ·         Collaborate with all business leaders to understand ongoing needs, align talent solutions to address needs, and strive for continuous improvement of organizational and individual performance

    ·         Provide coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs

    ·         Provide business partners and the People team with tools, techniques, and processes to develop programs to support the growth of high-potential employees

    ·         Research latest development in management, leadership and organizational development areas and keep abreast to serve as a subject matter expert and consult to the organization regarding critical people issues


    ·         Bachelor's degree

    ·         Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar field of study or similar experience

    ·         People leadership experience required

    ·         10 years of experience within HR or consulting specific to Talent Development

    ·         10 years of proven knowledge and working experience in instructional design, technology and using the ADDIE model or other proven methodologies

    ·         Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate or business setting

    ·         At least 5 years of Project Management experience that includes managing scope, resources, budget, and stakeholders

    ·         At least 5 years experience managing cross functional teams

    ·         Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models

    ·         Using data and insight to drive tangible and impactful plans

    ·         Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System

    ·         Experience working with or servicing a media planning and/or buying company a plus

    ·         Working knowledge of assessment tools and design of interventions appropriate to a professional business environment.

    ·         Strong facilitation, project management, change consulting, and talent management skills and negotiation skills required.

    ·         High collaboration; demonstrated ability to effectively works across, up and down to drive outcomes

    ·         Effective balance in ability to build strategy and execute

    ·         Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into specific organizational development initiatives and implementation plans.
