  • Thu, September 23, 2021
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Online via Zoom

Artificial intelligence has arrived, and while L&D is working to upskill the workforce, a new challenge looms: AI deployment within the L&D organization. How can you lead conversations with the tech organization or senior management to ensure that educational AI is appropriate and successful?

We’ll start with an open discussion about AI designed to give you a layperson’s foundational understanding of these technologies. Then, building from an L&D and learner perspective, we’ll work together to identify where in L&D’s world AI might contribute meaningfully. We’ll also discuss some pitfalls, including AI bias, privacy, and data. As a group exercise, we’ll construct an L&D-centric framework for decision-making that you can use with both business managers and IT folks. Finally, we’ll share tips for uncovering critical product or technology information, and how to discuss AI initiatives with your learners.

What you’ll take away from this session

  • A deeper understanding of what AI is – and what it isn’t
  • Where AI can fit into professional learning and development initiatives
  • How to make better decisions when buying or deploying AI
