Partner Event - PACDA - What does the Great Resignation Mean for You and Your Clients?

Description:

Join us for brief presentations about the impact of “The Great Resignation” on your students/clients. We'll leave plenty of time for networking with your career development colleagues by affiliation. This event is FREE for members and non-members!

We’ll have breakout discussions for each of these PACDA subgroups:

  • Workforce Development (led by Helene Mancuso)
  • Higher Ed (led by Debra Franke)
  • Private Practice (led by Jessica Visek)
  • K-12 (TBD)

We know that the conversations will be educational and you’ll have an opportunity to build new relationships with other career professionals within your vertical. Everyone welcome!

PRESENTERS

Helene Mancuso earned her Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University. She is a certified Workforce Development Professional and a certified Case Manager; she also holds a certification in Racial Equity. Currently Director of Workforce Development with Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance; previously Grants Program Manager, Luzerne County Community College and Director, RSVP Volunteer Program at Area Agency on Aging of Luzerne/Wyoming County. She is currently the Chair of PACDA's Programming Committee (and seeking additional committee members at this time).

Jessica Visek has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Catholic University of America. She holds certifications as a Professional Resume Writer and Online Profile Expert. Jessica owns her own career consulting business (Your Resume Partner) and held previous career coaching roles with Andy Thomas Careers Now and Talent Inc as well as HR roles with IKON and Airs. She serves as Co-chair of PACDA's Membership committee.

Debra Franke earned her MA in Counseling from Missio Seminary and her BS from Northwestern University in Environmental Engineering. Debra is the Associate Director for Alumni Engagement for Career Programs at La Salle University, after having served as the Assistant Director for 10 years. She is currently PACDA’s VP, Volunteer Engagement & Special Projects after having served as Chair for PACDA’s Technology Committee. Debra has also taught career courses at Missio Seminary, counseled adults in or considering career transition in private practice, and worked at DuPont as an Organizational Development Consultant.

NCDA CEUs: You may register to earn 2 NCDA CEUs. You must attend the webinar live to receive the CEUs. CEUs are free for PACDA members; $10 for those who are not members of PACDA. NCDA is the National Career Development Association (www.ncda.org/). See https://ncda.org/aws/NCDA/pt/sp/credentialing for information on NCDA credentials and Continuing Education requirements.

Act 48 credit:

PACDA and PSCA members: After the event, complete the post-event survey, then email ceu@thepacda.org to obtain your certificate of attendance, which you can then submit via the PSCA website.

Not a PACDA or PSCA member?: You may be able to obtain Act 48 credit. After the event, complete the post-event survey, then email ceu@thepacda.org to obtain your certificate of attendance. Submit this to the Pennsylvania Department of Education via your local education agency, which will have the final say on whether this program qualifies for Act 48 credit. Or, you may submit via the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association for $10.
