Description
4 years ago General Motor's Center of Learning made a concentrated strategic effort to drive performance improvement through learning. The question that loomed over the team - what does that actually mean for L&D and how do you execute it?
Starting with the idea of being world-class and recognizing that goal was too ambiguous, the team realized what they were really aiming for was to deliver high impact learning. And there began the journey to becoming a High Impact Learning Organization (HILO). Fast-forward a few years, with over 25 awards including Top 10 in Learning Elite 2021, the team is well on their way to achieving their goal, although the journey is not as linear as you might think.
Join Keith Keating as he takes you on the Center of Learning's evolutionary journey to being a global High Impact Learning Organization (HILO). Keith will share actionable best practices and lessons learned that you can begin applying in your organization today.
And remember, High Impact Learning Organizations do not happen overnight. The first step is understanding where your learning organization is today and creating a vision of where you want to be tomorrow. The journey in between should be fluid and agile to meet the changing conditions of your business and the learners. Check out this session to learn more about the strategy setting and execution on the journey to being a High Impact Learning Organization.
