Building lasting trust with employees/clients is a critical skill for HR professionals. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) harnesses the power of authentic connection through a unique and powerful method. In this interactive workshop, David Kubacki will lead participants through a dynamic building experience with specially-designed LEGO® sets to discern the challenges (and potential solutions) of the HR community. We will learn how “hand knowledge” can empower participants to reflect on serious topics while sharing their thoughts and insights with the team in a way that can’t normally be achieved in a conversation or presentation.

Amidst a career as varied as corporate human resources to school leadership to national nonprofit oversight, David J. Kubacki began consulting in 2008. In 2015 he founded the ViaDel Consulting Group and offers corporate and nonprofit consulting with a focus on strategic planning, leadership development, and team building. He is a certified Standards for Excellence® consultant, GALLUP Strengths Coach for Individuals, Managers, & Teams, and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator.

David received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters (L.H.D.) from and gave the commencement address at De Sales University in May 2015. In November 2019, David gave a TEDxTalk on the science behind LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® at TEDxCWRU in Cleveland, Ohio.

During the pandemic, ViaBricks Workshops pivoted to an online environment proving that play is serious and important even in virtual meeting rooms. As we return to the workplace, the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method can create vital opportunities for your team to connect and reflect on an ever-changing workplace.
