    Reports To:               VP Human Resources

    SUMMARY

    The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist implements and oversees programs that increase operational efficiency, strengthen employee knowledge, skills and abilities, improve leadership and maintain the overall development of Chelten House.  This includes a focus on talent development, employee retention, training, employee satisfaction, as well as, facilitating the implementation of change management initiatives associated with organizational transition. 

    This role will also be responsible for identifying skill/talent gaps within the organization; developing a plan of action; and implementing meaningful, relevant employee and manager training and development activities that support company goals and objectives, while providing professional development opportunities for employees.

    • ·         Designs and implements a variety of initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials that employ e-learning, virtual learning, site-based training, assessments, or other solutions.

    ·         Identifies opportunities for performance improvement and implement process, tools and training to foster a high-performance culture, where regular feedback, valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norms. 

    ·         Oversees annual appraisal process, monitoring compliance with the timetable and working with managers to ensure consistency of quality in appraisal documentation.  

    ·         Designs and delivers change management strategies, processes and programs that support the company’s cultural transformation. 

    ·         Develops approach to talent management and succession planning and coordinates contributions of key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of action items.

    ·         Creates OD performance standards measuring the impact of programs on performance, efficiency, employee retention, and job satisfaction.  Evaluates and Develops reporting to ensure tracking of the right KPIs to drive improvements. 

    ·         Manages Learning Management System to ensure the platform meets the needs of the business and the content is supporting business initiatives. 

    ·         Leads development of operational staff skills and knowledge transfer in order to maximize the diverse talents of the organization.

    ·         Selects and manages internal or external resources in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of agreed OD initiatives. Leads business initiatives by conducting individual or group training sessions as needed. 

    ·         Contributes to develop an effective Employee and Manager induction program.  Updates these programs as needed. 

    ·         Works closely with all areas of management to support OD initiatives and ensure consistency in strategic alignment. 

    ·         Supports employee safety initiatives throughout organization.    

    ·         Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    ·         Skill in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating a wide variety of OD activities. Strong ability to analyze and assess organizational training and talent development needs, along with performance management plans.

    ·         Strong knowledge of various learning tools and techniques to create and implement training programs to effectively address business needs.

    ·         Skill in design, implementation and evaluation of performance and talent management process to optimize performance evaluation and employee satisfaction and retention.

    ·         Experience creating and managing employee surveys in order to evaluate the effectiveness of management, communication and training and identifying ways to enhance employee satisfaction within the organization.

    ·         Must have strong business knowledge and experience with the ability to translate business needs to a strategic OD plan.

    ·         Requires effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.  Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative ability to work with diverse colleagues.

    ·         Ability to manage groups through project implementation.

    ·         Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

    ·         Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. 

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

    ·         Possesses minimum 5 years of organizational development experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain environments.

    ·         Experience building organizational development function and managing support through organizational transformation.

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resource, organizational management, or organizational development or relevant discipline required. 

    ·         Experience managing Learning Management System and creating eLearning content.
