This four-part online workshop teaches you how to create effective, engaging e-learning from start to finish, taking you from the very basics up to insider tips and secrets that even experienced developers don't know.

    In this program, you'll learn the basics such as setting up a course and adding content to creating interactions and questions, all the way to advanced techniques such as working with conditions and variables.

    This workshop will cover everything you need to get up and running with Articulate Storyline. Specifically you’ll learn to:

    • Navigate the Articulate Storyline interface.
    • Create new projects.
    • Organize your projects with scenes and slides.
    • Work with text.
    • Import and format images in your projects.
    • Create your own graphics using built-in drawing tools.
    • Engage your learners by animating slide content.

William's favorite thing in life is to see the lightbulb go off over someone's head; helping them finally grasp a concept or software technique that has eluded them for so long. An Adobe Certified Instructor, William was previously the Director of Training at Lodestone Digital and a contributing author at Lynda.com. Through classroom training, one-on-one coaching, and online programs, he has helped people learn Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, video production, audio editing, and graphics creation.

    The Fundamentals of Virtual Training Bootcamp

    Description:

    Does the post COVID-19 world leave you feeling left behind? Do you need to learn how to design and facilitate courses for virtual delivery or up your game to the next level? Then we got just what you need. In this bootcamp participants learn practical tips and techniques to facilitate engaging virtual training and meetings. Designed to give participants an experiential overview of the best practices used in engaging, interactive virtual learning and meetings, it includes a series of three, interactive 90-minute virtual classes. Participants will experience a variety of facilitation techniques and approaches, and complete online assignments that reinforce what they are learning between sessions. A Master Trainer and Producer will conduct a 30-minute, hands-on 1-on-1 coaching session for each participant on the virtual platform of their choice.

    The Virtual Training Fundamentals Bootcamp is ideal for trainers and organizations that need to adopt existing classroom training for effective virtual facilitation. All three classes are delivered in the same week and the program includes approximately two hours of online assignments during the duration of the course. Access to the Internet and email are required.

    Course Objectives:

    • Develop creative virtual training programs and meetings 
    • Deliver engaging, interactive virtual training
    • Lead effective virtual meetings
    • Apply techniques to re-purpose classroom training for virtual delivery

    Description:

    Build courses you're proud of! Take your courses to the next level with these advanced Articulate Storyline techniques!

    In this three-session, online workshop, you'll learn all about using Articulate Storyline variables in your e-learning courses: text variables, true/false variables, and number variables. You'll walk step by step through nine examples (three of each type of variable) moving from simple to complex.

    Throughout these activities, you'll learn how to enhance your e-learning course with personalization, gamification, conditional logic, dynamic content, and more!

    What will you learn:

    • How to use text variables, true/false variables, and number variables
    • How to set up conditional logic
    • How to integrate variables with other features such as states, layers, sliders, and master slides
    • How to plan out the logic in advance and how to troubleshoot when things don't work as planned.
    • How to use variables to set up points, badges, personalization, custom navigation, and dynamically changing content

    Are there any course requirements or prerequisites?

    • You'll be most successful if you have experience using Storyline, especially triggers, states, and layers.
    • You do NOT need to have any experience working with variables or conditions.
    • To use the practice files, you'll need Articulate Storyline 2, 3, or 360. (The last activity can only be done in 360).
