Description:

Ever throw sticky notes against a wall to see....what sticks? That's called an Affinity exercise (or diagram). Affinity exercises are great for taking chaotic amounts of information and forming them into cohesive groups. But too often people try to do it by throwing sticky notes on the wall and clumsily having teams move the notes around. Learn the methods of an organized affinity exercise so you can fully harness the power of this tool. This session will use hands-on practice and show how to run an effective Affinity Exercise using several different methods/tools.

Join L&D Philly and Continuous Process Improvement Consultant Craig Plain for this lighthearted, interactive, and powerful exploration of how to use Affinity exercises effectively to produce better (training) results.

Facilitator:

A leader in the Process Improvement, Training, and Operations fields, Craig Plain brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare services, manufacturing, and public sector as well as the military. A former Squadron Commander in the Air National Guard and an Air Battle Manager for the United States Air Force, Craig has also held operations, training, and leadership positions for GE Healthcare, Amazon, and Covidien. Craig earned Six Sigma Green and Blackbelts while working at GE and with the Air Force and holds a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Wisconsin.
