Description:

Everyone possesses personal safety boundaries. Boundaries dictate how people prefer to communicate, the dynamics of workplace relationships, and how they manage stress and conflict. When boundaries are respected, it creates safer teams where people can speak up without fear of reprisal, make more creative decisions, and feel a greater sense of belonging. As organizations face retention and engagement issues, leaders need to focus on navigating emerging boundaries and negotiating how to uphold personal and team boundaries to instill trust. This interactive program walks participants through a framework to define their safety boundaries, navigate sharing with coworkers, and develop negotiation skills to ensure everyone feels respected.

This Session Is Perfect For:

  • Leaders and teams hoping to bolster engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Leaders and teams addressing stress, burnout, and anxiety, especially related to shifts in work environments or industries.
  • Organizations that operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where trust gaps can lead to increased turnover or absenteeism.
  • Companies that have recently scaled or are seeking to codify their culture into formalized practice, policies, and behaviors.

Participants Will Leave With:

  • An actionable understanding of why safety boundaries are vital to productive professional relationships, creative decisions making, and feelings of belonging.
  • A boundary-first mindset guiding teams to overcome any obstacle, conflict, or uncertainty.
  • The knowledge, skills, and motivations to actively explore their boundaries and the boundaries of their peers.
  • Steps to overcome trust gaps stemming from lingering boundary violations while ensuring all team members feel respected.

This Workshop Includes:

  • Customized content tailored to industry norms, organizational structure, and attendees.
  • Personal Safety Boundaries digital workbook for the ongoing implementation of this framework, including exercises to set personal boundaries, tools on navigating these with coworkers, and recommendations for overcoming boundary violations.
