Here’s an opportunity to meet other members in fast-paced conversations focused on the joys and challenges of our industry.  Join hosts Liz Nover &  Marc deGuzman and rotate through breakout conversation rooms – different people in each room – to address how roles & responsibilities in L&D have changed in recent years. 

This is a great opportunity to learn and meet other L&D Philly members! You'll also hear about the benefits of membership, upcoming events, and projects in the pipeline.

Liz Nover

Liz Nover is a lifelong educator who made the transition to workplace learning. This was a subtle career shift in her opinion, but it was difficult to convince prospective employers that she had the skills and mindset they required. Starting from a return to school, involvement in professional associations, and a graduate student internship at age 51, she assumed progressively more responsible contract roles in Instructional Design, and has worked full time as the Senior (and only) Instructional Designer for Einstein Healthcare Network since 2019.

Marc deGuzman

Marc deGuzman is a training and development consultant at Atlantic Management Group, based in Philadelphia. Since 2013, he has been helping people and organizations develop capabilities, navigate change, and improve performance. Marc holds a MA in Instructional Systems Development from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and a BA in Business Administration from University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
